I want to escape into summer

What is it about summer?
Why is it that everyone feels so completely alive?
Not one thing has its limits.
Everyday has a new adventure and has a wonderful, completely new vibe.
The summer time is a time for all the free birds to fly.
Maybe that is why I am so intrigued.
Either way I hope to someday find a life where it is summer all the time.

Here are some pictures I found while remembering the summer.

Trips to Idaho, the beach, to waterfronts and anywhere good friends seem to be gathering

tonight is different

I am away from my computer for the night this meaning that I am unable to please the eye by adding photographs to this post. Sad I know BUT I will leave an inspirational quote instead. I feel like this is a good compensation.

"Life is tough. Get a helmet."

I guess that most of you have heard this one before but tonight this one hits close to home.

Sometimes you are woken from a great reality to see that there are still issues lying everywhere around you even if you wish to never see them, they are still there.
But the point is there WILL be tough times, becoming peaceful with this makes having hard times a little easier, no not easy but easier.

So understand that life will be hard. Understand that there could be a life changing rough event tomorrow or maybe next week but also understand that there is and always will be a way to make it through.

Life isn't meant to be lived fearful, tackle every issue head on and stay strong.
"Don't let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game."
I am just on a roll this evening. :)

Don't forget your helmet tonight when you conquer the world.

xoxo

a very thrifty tuesday

Hello $2 scarf :)

aaaaand $1 boom box for Jake

One of the most dearest people in my life has the opportunity to volunteer at a beautiful thrift store in our area.

This store is called Friends of the Carpenter.

So as the school day came to a close a friend and I pondered on what to do and found there was only one right thing to do...

We climbed into our car and drove to the other side of town to said thrift store.  A well worthy travel I must add!

See my friends and I like to do things unannounced so we crept into the back room where our friend stood, at the end of her shift.
Lets just say her face had a great transformation when she saw us two.

Anna showed us all around the store and there were way too many great deals to pass up.

I left with a fun scarf and a boom box... oh and some hair clips for 50 cents, can't forget the hair clips. Hope you enjoy!

the monday blues?

Not to be a complete downer but I'll have to admit awaking on that Monday morning after a fabulous three day weekend is not the easiest thing in the whole world to do. BUT thanks to great friends and a good coffee the middle of the day turned it all around. Monday lunches have been dedicated to spending time in our local coffee shop for my friend Marina (in the back) and whom ever cares to join us. This little pleasure keeps me going all through the day, take that how you choose. It is also a plus that the cups are all ready for the holiday season and that we listened to Christmas music in the car there and back... yeah that never hurts.

Hope your Monday wasn't too rough.

SAN DIEGO

It has been approximately ten minutes since I pressed the submit button for my San Diego Sate University Application. You know that feeling of full on excitement but you might pee your pants because you are so nervous? The feeling that you are about to go on stage for your solo that you having been working three years on? Yeah that is pretty much what is going on in this mind of mine.

beee you

Hope this gets you over the hump day

sick days aren't so sick after all

Sometimes taking a day (or two in my case) isn't the worst thing that can happen. Letting your mind float, sleeping until your body won't allow more rest and discovering new great music. I could get used to this. Well that is if my school load wasn't following me to a great fall. So here is to all the sick people in the world today, take it easy and remember you are one day closer to getting out of bed and conquering the world.

Have a happy day :)
